Not long ago I was asked why I chose photography as a profession. Why?
There are moments in our lives when we all wish we could just sit back and observe from the outside. We might not recognize it as that, might not literally say to ourselves, “I wish I could see this moment from over there.” But every time we pause, or time slows… every time we are fully aware of what is happening in the moment that we ourselves are immersed in, we take our own mental picture.
My goal, every time I pick up the camera, is to create something that fully captures that feeling. I hope every image we produce causes the viewer to be transported to that place, to experience what those in that frozen moment experienced. At Mavella we want our clients to re-live the moments of their wedding day every time they view the images that we produce for them. That is our definition of success.
